Why we started with the books.
Bookkeeping has been broken for decades. Owners code receipts on weekends, juniors type the same suppliers into the same accounts, and the close drags into a fortnight.
Language models can now read a bill the way a person does, and learn a chart of accounts. We built Synced for Xero and QuickBooks first, because that's where AU, UK and NZ small businesses live. Founded 2024 in Sydney.
Agents are the means. The mission is giving owners their Saturdays back.
The Bookkeeper is the first of the team. An Analyst for reporting and a Coordinator for workflows are in the works, and neither gets a page until it earns its keep in production.
